New Territory

So I've dabbled in background illustration a handful of times, but never really focused on it since I love designing characters more. But I wanted to improve my skills a little more- since I'm the sole artist for a project I'm working on with a friend of mine.

As our project requires both character and background illustration, and we're working as a 2 person team, I needed to be able to do both kinds of illustration.

I'm normally stuck in a comfort zone of using the same old brushes, but this time I knew I needed to break out of that comfort zone and actually start pushing myself! Which worked, because this was the outcome of one of the first digital backgrounds I've ever done, which I'm really proud of actually. Onwards and upwards!
