Scott Duffey is a Chester alumni student who specialised in Graphic Designing, graduating with a BA Graphic Design Honours. While most people envision that their first job out of university is going to be associated with their field, Scott found that it was difficult to get into the world of Graphic Design and didn't get a job straight away in the industry. However this didn't let his passion deter. Scott currently works as the Creative Director for Listen Creative, a design company based in Liverpool. Listen specialise in food packaging- working with companies such as Geeta and Eat Real. They also designed some animation aspects of the children's Peter Rabbit app.
Outside of his job at Listen, Scott and his wife Louisa also have their own company: Toucan Tango. Louisa works with Photography while Scott works with screenprinting. Within this company they create prints and greeting cards and sell bespoke cards to small independant stores, the website showcases their bright and vibrant work which is beautifully put together.
Scott started with creating gig posters for his friend's bands- which led to him approaching bigger bands and designing their posters- both promoting the band and some for the merchandise stands at their concerts. They always make time to make a couple of these posters every year as they really enjoy working with them as well as attending the concerts and festivals. Scott also talks about flat stocks; these are organised around festivals where designers from around the world get together and sell their work. This is also good for networking.
The pair also have another side-business called Suup. Suup is a screen-printing studio located in New Brighton that sell their artwork as well as other artist's work they have met through networking at art fayre's and festivals; they also sell local artist's work.
